The J-Man Files

Thoughts from the mind of what some people call a crazy canadian girl.

I thought I would write a little something seeing as it's been over a week since my last post. I actually do have something to report - i am in the initial stages of applying for a proper job for once i'm done Uni in May. I won't go into specifics here, so if you want to know, let me know and i'll fill you in. I know it's only the first of many jobs that will be available to me to apply for, but this job is with a Christian organisation and would be pretty neat if I were to get it. I'll let you all know as to where this goes (if anywhere).
I have pretty much finished up all of my Christmas shopping - i only have one person left to shop for. I sort of know what i would like to get him for Christmas, i just have to go out and find it. Derek and i went Christmas shopping on tuesday and we stopped by a store on our way to the mall called The Raging Brit - oh my word it was fantastic!!! It gave me a huge rush of memories - especially when i saw all the imported British food this place sold. So of course i had to buy some: Quavers, Walker's Crisps, Jaffa Cakes, Ice Gems (and if you remember how i didn't like them back when i was in England....well, i still don't, but it was worth it to just give them a try again), i bought some fruit punch fanta and the best thing of all, i was able to buy some Orange Squash...the Robinson kind i think (the one with the label that always says Barley water on it). I was so excited for all of these items! Derek bought some Cadbury's chocolate and i still say it tastes better than the stuff we have here. It was amazing to say the least! I will definately be going back there again sometime.
Work has been going alright lately - it's always busy and even more so since there has been close to 10 new residents who have moved into the complex over the last 2 weeks. We have had a sad moment though. A new couple who moved in a week ago, and we're really sweet - the wife died yesterday of liver failure. it was really sad because she was lovely and they had only moved in the week before. He is still going to stay living in the complex, but i'm sure it might be lonely for him. I get Friday and Saturday off which will be nice for me. I don't plan on doing a whole lot - maybe find some decorations for my apartment for the Christmas season, and finish off the Christmas shopping i do have left.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Hello one and all. Not much has been going on in my life these days - pretty much the standard usual actually. It's hard to believe that it is the last few weeks of the 1st semester. Lots of assignments and tests are coming my way in the next few weeks, but that is pretty typical of the end of a semester. What's scary is that i only have 1 semester left until i graduate. It's time to start looking for a proper job! I'll keep letting you know that i'm alive and well(?) LOL.
