Time Flies By

It's been so long since I have written that I feel like I am a stranger to my own blog! My summer at camp ended on the 28th. Overall, it was an amazing summer. I have never been more challenged in my entire life. God taught me a lot about what I thought I would never be able to do, but with Him, I can do almost anything. I now feel like I am a confident public speaker (having to daily speak in front of 150 kids and 100 staff will quickly make you feel adjusted!). I am becoming more creative in my programming ideas and getting the confidence to voice those ideas and actually implement them. God also brought a long opportunities my way that I thought I would never ever be interested in doing let alone enjoying them. I have never had much opportunity to interact with horses and farm life in general. In fact, it was the last thing I ever wanted to experience. However, God has a great sense of humour and one of my friends at camp was a wrangler and they convinced me to actually get on a horse and go for a trail ride. As it turns out, I loved it and went riding at every chance I got. I was getting pretty good towards the end of camp. I also learnt how to do chores at the corrals (hay feeding the horses and other animals we had---we had an animal farm with all sorts of animals, and of course i pooped scopped and actually enjoyed it! I frequently went up to the corrals and poop scopped for a stress relieve time). So God changed my attitudes in ways I didn't think possible. God taught me to tough love people even when I didn't want to. Love to campers when they were being stupid and I would have to call their parents. Tough love to staff when they were being petty and not doing what they were suppose to be doing. And of course there were the amazing people that were brought into my life over the course of the summer. Relationships that I hope will last for a very long time. They taught me all sorts of beneficial (that's questionable) stuff, and I had a lot of fun with them. You people should know who you are!
I am at my parent's house now for the next 5 days or so. I had to come back to Caronport to get uni stuff sorted and have a visit to the bank. University starts Sept 8 for me. I'm excited to go back, but i'm also a little nervous for it as well. I am currently signed up to take 33 credit hours this whole year (in canada 1 class = 3 credit hours). I am hoping my health is going to be alright with the stress of a very full course load plus hopefully working part time somewhere.
I'm excited about where I am going to be living this fall. I am living with a couple of girls from camp in a house that one of them owns. It's in a nice area of the city and is quiet too. It's very close to shops, the market and bus routes (maybe i'll actually take a ride on a bus in this city too!) and it's only a 20 minute drive to my uni.
Well, I think it is time for be to do some more reorganisation of my stuff and start the repacking process. I'll attempt to be more in touch on a regular basis.
